The Clean Energy Training Hub aims to revitalize a once-prominent Chicago Avenue corridor, transforming it into a community and regional institution that embodies a distinct sense of place. By seamlessly integrating architecture with accessible outdoor spaces, the project enriches the urban corridor while providing neighboring communities with essential amenities, all while preserving its unique identity. Spanning 65,000 square feet, the envisioned facility will serve as a flexible state-of-the-art hub for job training in clean solar energy careers. Its diverse program includes offices, computer labs, solar and electric vehicle charging facilities, clean energy VR demonstrations, a lecture hall, fitness center, warehouse space, e-sports lab, and music recording studios. This multifaceted initiative endeavors to rejuvenate this historic urban corridor while visibly showcasing innovation, community involvement, and sustainable practices.
